Kongsberg UC2018 Americas - Maritime Simulation User Conference
Dear KONGSBERG Customers & Colleagues,
The number of maritime accidents and incidents continues to be too high. This raises the bar for development of a stronger safety culture, backed by new standards and regulations for procedures as well as proper education of students and re-training of crew. At the same time, we are experiencing an increasing focus on technology and methods to promote sustainability.
This year’s Simulation User Conference of the Americas will focus on how simulation can be utilized to build a positive safety culture with ingrained awareness, while supporting more sustainable maritime operations that meet new standards and regulations.
The conference program will also include considerations on market trends and how digital transformation is changing the way the maritime industry works, including training. In addition, there will be K-Sim product news and development presentations, and sessions where delegates can dive deeper into topics of interest, including; emergency preparedness & crisis management, defence & security and the role of instructors.
With a packed conference program, our goal is to facilitate the sharing of ideas in order to enhance the collective knowledge of the international simulation community. We look forward to spending some thought-provoking and motivating conference days together with you.
